Dried apricots
Dried apricots come in two varieties: sulphured (yellow), and unsulphured (dark). The yellow ones contain added sulfur dioxide in order to provide colour retention and longer shelf life. The dark ones are directly dried under the sunlight without being treated with sulfur dioxide and are much tastier.
To store unused dried apricots for an extended period, seal them tightly or store them in the freezer. |
