Khaki (Persimmon)
Choosing the best khaki depends on the species and variety chosen. Some varieties need to be ripe to be eaten.
When properly ripe, its flesh should be very soft and juicy. Their skin should be smooth and free of spots, marks or stains. The skin can be eaten when the fruit is ripe and the tannins are almost completely decomposed.
Compared to apples, khakis have higher levels of pectin. Pectin is a soluble fiber and will make your smoothie creamy.
Store at room temperature until soft and ripe. |
