Strawberries
Choose strawberries that are firm, plump, free of mold, and which have a shiny, deep red color and attached green caps. Keeping the caps on until you're about to eat the strawberries will prolong their shelf life. Don't wash strawberries until just before you use them.
Throw away moldy strawberries immediately. Don't let one berry spoil the whole bunch.
Store in the refrigerator or a cold area.
Freeze only ripe and firm strawberries. Cut off the inedible green material. |
